I was TRAPPED in an “all or nothing” mentality.
I even used diet pills that left me with jitters, nights going to bed with stomach pangs because I was so hungry. I’d then get up in the morning and work out in a way that was more like punishment and not about being healthy at all.
Worst of all, my perfectionist nature kept me from seeing how incredible was – how much I had to offer and the amazing innate gifts I possessed. I was dimming my own light – more like stomping on it. And then, it got worse.
I was so trapped in my perfectionist mindset that I thought the only way to lose weight would be to set a big goal. And achieve it. So despite being a health coach (with all of my food issues) AND having a full-time job in fashion. I decided the only way to truly meet my “fitness goals” (make my inner critic shut up) was to enter a fitness competition. And you guessed it. I won.
I got my perfect body.
Only to gain all the weight back in 6 months. Talk about embarrassing. That’s when my inner critic really let me have it and in my harsh judgement as I compared my body competition and post competition, I felt judgement from others. I felt worse than ever.
This is when I discovered what I now KNOW is the key to lasting weight loss.
My weight had defined me and kept me from really shining. I needed to reconnect to me, the real me and love me, all of me, to my body, to honor it and learn what it needed to thrive. I had to change my mindset and start over with the right foundation – one that would take me out of this vicious cycle.
That’s when I knew there had to be a better way and I dedicated my life to figuring this out for myself once and for all, and I share everything I discovered with you in my MK Jumpstart Program.
Today, I’m a certified holistic nutritionist, life coach, fitness expert, hypnotherapist, and style guru who learned to LOVE my body and embrace my curves. I’ve got muscle and I love them. I help women who are done with dieting and ready to break free from the dieter’s mentality for good.
