Listen, I’ve been EXACTLY where you are. And I know from experience,

I know for a fact, deprivation is NOT the way to have a body you’re proud of and feel good in. I learned this the hard way, just like you. I’ve tried every diet out there: Weight Watchers, Zone Diet, Low carb, No carb, No dinners, Juices, Master Cleanse, and Diet Pills. You name it, I’ve done it.

I’ve calorie counted for every single meal, 24 hours a day, 7 days in a week for over 12 years on end.

I have a stack of food journals over a foot tall. . .I’ve tracked. I’ve measured. I’ve weighed.

On the outside to people who knew and loved me, I looked good. I was successful. I had tons of friends. I looked confident and people thought I had it all.

Inside, I was insecure with poor body image and a screaming, ruthless inner critic. My gym days were about burning more than I was consuming.

I wasn’t satisfied unless I had sweated, burned and lifted hard. It was purely about the results. Years of that wreaked havoc on my body and burned me out, from digestive issues to missed periods.

I didn’t have an official eating disorder but my relationship with food was extreme and unhealthy, leading to late night binges and cycles of continual self-sabotage. This was not self love.

Dinners out were spent calculating calories and ordering lite OR bingeing if I fell off the wagon.


I was TRAPPED in an “all or nothing” mentality.

I even used diet pills that left me with jitters, nights going to bed with stomach pangs because I was so hungry. I’d then get up in the morning and work out in a way that was more like punishment and not about being healthy at all.

Worst of all, my perfectionist nature kept me from seeing how incredible was – how much I had to offer and the amazing innate gifts I possessed. I was dimming my own light – more like stomping on it. And then, it got worse.

I was so trapped in my perfectionist mindset that I thought the only way to lose weight would be to set a big goal. And achieve it. So despite being a health coach (with all of my food issues) AND having a full-time job in fashion. I decided the only way to truly meet my “fitness goals” (make my inner critic shut up) was to enter a fitness competition. And you guessed it. I won.

I got my perfect body.

Only to gain all the weight back in 6 months. Talk about embarrassing. That’s when my inner critic really let me have it and in my harsh judgement as I compared my body competition and post competition, I felt judgement from others. I felt worse than ever.

This is when I discovered what I now KNOW is the key to lasting weight loss.

My weight had defined me and kept me from really shining. I needed to reconnect to me, the real me and love me, all of me, to my body, to honor it and learn what it needed to thrive. I had to change my mindset and start over with the right foundation – one that would take me out of this vicious cycle.

That’s when I knew there had to be a better way and I dedicated my life to figuring this out for myself once and for all, and I share everything I discovered with you in my MK Jumpstart Program.

Today, I’m a certified holistic nutritionist, life coach, fitness expert, hypnotherapist, and style guru who learned to LOVE my body and embrace my curves. Growing up, I was often labeled “Big Boned”.

Needless to say, I didn’t have the highest self-esteem growing up.

In fact, I had a pretty unhealthy relationship with food—frequently eating just to make myself feel better about myself.

In my 20s, I moved to NYC and, before long, I started an extremely lean diet that wound up wreaking havoc on my insides. Sabotaging my body, 20 plus years of dieting, being stuck in what felt like a prison and endless yo-yoing on the scale from emotional eating as a result of dieting, was the catalyst for me to get serious about transforming my relationship with food.
